The most underated film of all time - Pearl Harbor Reviews

If Titanic could smoke the Oscars, I don't see how this movie can't even get some decent reviews. Patriotic, realistic, breath-taking... These are just some of the words that describe this film, not to mention "romantic" for the female audience. The acting is simply outstanding. I can't think of anyone who can even come close to play Kate Beckinsale's role. Her character is the one who ties the entire movie together, and she completely nails it right on the spot. Ben Affleck has his best performance since Armageddon. And as to Josh Harnett: nothing bad to say there. Last, but not the least, Alec Baldwin has done a wonderful job as the supporting character. The graphics throughout the movie is no worse than Titanic, if not better. The bombing scene is catastrophic. But still, this movie was not even nominated for best picture, how cruel!!! The thing that bothers me the most is that the story in this movie is much better than Titanic, but it's not being appriciated in any aspect. I think people who don't find this movie as satisfying as expected the first time they watch it are probably confused about the story or don't appriciate the love affair among the three main characters, or both. If that's the case, my advise is to watch it again (or in my case, watch it 3 times). Then you'll understand the true meaning of "war is hell" and start appriciating the greatness of this film.
